Viessmann boilers: ranges, warranty and price

Viessmann boilers come in the Vitodens range, and the two combis a homeowner is most likely to be quoted are the 050-W and the 100-W. We price the Vitodens 100-W at around £2,800 fitted, with most people paying between £2,200 and £3,300. Viessmann isn’t among the four brands that online installer Boxt lists, and it is known for its stainless steel heat exchanger.

The Viessmann boiler range

The Vitodens 050-W is the entry combi and the 100-W sits above it. Boiler Guide lists the 050-W in outputs from the mid twenties to the mid thirties of kilowatts. Which? publishes standard and extended warranty lengths for both, and our boiler brands guide has the table. The 100-W carries the longer extended warranty of the two.

Viessmann warranty

Viessmann’s longer warranties are where it competes with the bigger names. As with other makes, a long warranty usually depends on registration, an approved installer and yearly servicing. Ask your installer whether they are approved to fit Viessmann, and put the warranty length and conditions in writing.

What Viessmann boilers cost fitted

Our Viessmann Vitodens 100-W page shows the price fitted, including VAT. The figure is built from the published boiler price and a typical fitting range, because the sources give them separately. Compare it with the Ideal Logic Max and the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000, the closest makes we price.

Choosing a Viessmann boiler

Not every installer fits Viessmann, so start by asking local firms whether they do. Choose the range for the warranty and the output for the home, and ask for the model name on the quote. Our compare tool puts quotes side by side, so that you can see the make, the range and the warranty line by line. You can also get free quotes from Gas Safe installers who cover your area, and ask each of them to name the exact model they are pricing.
