Worcester Bosch boilers: ranges and warranty

Worcester Bosch boilers are sold in the Greenstar ranges, which run from an entry range called the 1000 up to the 8000 at the top. The middle of the line is the Greenstar 4000, the one Boxt labels its most popular Worcester, and we price it fitted at around £2,700, with most people paying between £2,100 and £3,300. As with other makes, the range you choose matters more than the badge.

The Worcester Bosch boiler ranges

The Greenstar family has four ranges in the warranty table we use. The entry 1000 carries the shortest warranty. A second range sits between it and the 4000 and carries a longer one. The 4000 is the usual choice, and the top 8000 carries the longest warranty and the highest price. Worcester Bosch warranty

Worcester Bosch’s longer warranties usually depend on the boiler being fitted by an approved installer, registered and serviced every year. Boxt says its Worcester installs carry up to ten years or up to twelve years, depending on the page you read, and in both cases only if the boiler is serviced annually. Ask any installer to put the warranty length and its conditions in writing before you agree.

What Worcester Bosch boilers cost fitted

Our Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 page shows the price fitted, including VAT, and what moves it. The figure is built from the published boiler price and a typical fitting range, because the sources give them separately. The other ranges cost more or less in line with their position, but we haven’t published a price for them yet. Retailers advertise starting prices that sit below the published boiler price plus fitting, so treat a headline “from” figure as the lowest end.

Choosing a Worcester Bosch boiler

Choose the range for the warranty and the output for the home. An installer should size the boiler from the number of bathrooms and radiators. Ask for the model name on the quote, because the ranges differ in price and warranty.
